As a born and raised Catholic, my spiritual journey through science and metaphysics is quite a trip! Heavily influenced in my childhood by the Incarnate Word nuns, I refer to them as the “fire and brimstone” in my religious upbringing. I remember their discipline methods that involve slapping, hitting with pointers and rulers, kneeling in the corner and countless other tactics.
After elementary school, I attended a Catholic high school. The Sisters of the Holy Humility of Mary were my teachers. A more progressive order, they were the first to shed the habit. Also known as “the Blue Nuns,” they taught me how to be a strong and confident woman. They planted the seeds for me to evolve spiritually.
Moving on to college, I was ready to face the challenges of attending a university that just became co-ed. I was in the first class of women living on campus. The icing on the cake is that it was a Jesuit institution, John Carroll University. You can imagine how welcome we were at the time! Suddenly my spiritual world was catapulted into chaos. However, I greatly value my Jesuit education as I was challenged to reflect on my beliefs.
The Foundation was set for my exploration of science and metaphysics
After graduating from John Carroll, the combination of science and metaphysics began to pull me into a wonderful world of exploration. Organized religion suddenly was no longer feeding my soul. As Divine Providence would have it, I happened upon a bookstore called “Sunrise.” There is where it all began. I hope you will enjoy the pages in this section. You will get a glimpse into the metaphysical world as I have experienced it and begin your own sacred journey!
Native American Medicine Cards
After I achieved my degrees at the university level, I began diving into the world of science and metaphysics. Although denying it in my youth, I did realize that I had psychic ability. Finally embracing my ability, I am able to provide intuitive readings for people using the Native American Medicine Cards.
Angel Cards
I am also proficient at channeling messages through Angel Cards. Doreen Virtue is one the most well-known authors in this area. Her cards are artistically appealing and the messages are thought-provoking.
Saint Card Readings
I was also inspired to create my own set of cards to use when I read for others. Researching the saints continues to be one of my passions. My current deck will certainly grow! I named the deck “Mystic Saint Cards.”
Spiritualist Camps
I have visited two well-known Spiritualist Camps and have met many wonderful mediums. As always one must be discerning since some that purport they have an ability, are in fact only charlatans. However, spiritualist camps do require their mediums to study their craft. They take courses to learn more about their ministry. They also need to demonstrate their ability to the leadership of the camp.
The first camp I ever visited was Camp Chesterfield in Anderson, Indiana. I visited there many times when I lived in Ohio. The second one is Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp in Cassadaga, Florida. I experienced so many other-worldly exchanges with mediums, healers and astrologers that live in the camps. I hope you will find that my sharing these encounters will intrigue you and expand your thinking!
Science of Mind
This is a photo of the Center for Spirituality Tampa Bay. For me it is a community of diversity where we all come together to celebrate the God Force. All are welcome and all spiritual beliefs are welcome. We study the teaching of Ernest Holmes. For me his insights and writings blend science and metaphysics perfectly.
